I just now saw this. The years have stretched between us, Steve. John was a very special individual for me. His talent and enthusiasm were highly infectious. Knowing him changed my life. So sorry to miss his passing.

My dad is mentioned in the article (Harry Duncan /Dunkin). I was fortunate to have met John Arnold and he was so kind to contact me when my dad passed away. I recall thinking he was so nice, charming, witty and had that rare quality of making you feel special. I didn't realize their connection went back to Design craft in Toronto. I would have liked to have known him better. I do know that he was greatly admired and respected by my dad. Rest in peace John.

I never met the man but I always loved going through the crazy kitchen as a young guy and then with my kids and their friends and classmates. Always a highlight of any trip to the Science and Tech Museum to visit the building and share the kitchen with the kids. John, may you rest in peace.

I'm very sorry to learn about John's death. I considered John a valued friend during the years, long ago, that I lived in Ottawa. Stephen, I wish you all the very best.

I worked closely with John on the board of Heritage Ottawa where he brought an artistic sensibility to the organization that was highly valued. He was kind, supportive and fun. And he designed a beautiful logo that is still used today. On behalf of myself and Heritage Ottawa, please accept our sincere condolences.

I went to the Science and Tech museum countless times as a child - one of the highlights was the "Crazy Kitchen". I will never forget that attraction! Thank you for that small part of fun that had this 1950's child amused! RIP Sir.
