Our family enjoyed getting to know Reverend Aymond when he Baptized our daughter, Savannah, at First United Methodist in Killeen. Although we were stationed in another state at the time, he lovingly accepted us to perform the ceremony in our “home” church with all my family and life time friends present. He was a fine man of God, and we will always be thankful for him.

John and Lucy are always in our hearts as an example of what a loving relationship between a husband and wife should be. Thank God for their witness and loving example for all of us.

We loved John.! He was a part of our family...the Aymond/Porter/ Naki/Sillavan/Jeffery connection. I think he enjoyed the "Porter Production", as we call it. We enjoyed the many conversations. What a great man the world lost on Dec. 5th. We are sad for ourselves that he is no longer with us but he is in a much better place. Love you Lucy, Christine and Matt !(and David, my dumb brother ❤)

John is forever in our hearts. He was an amazing man who loved his family fiercely. He always had wonderful stories & when asked for his secret of a happy marriage he said it's simple ... I love my wife ♥

John was a friend, pastor and mentor to many of us. He and Lucy supported me in my faith journey and drove me to my Walk to Emmaus, which included dinner at Underwood’s BBQ in Brownwood. One of Johns favorite restaurants. He will be greatly missed. .

My heart is so sad at learning of the passing of this wonderful man. John was truly a man of God who radiated kindness, love, and acceptance of all. He was a mentor who influenced how I did ministry and I will be forever grateful for the example of faithfulness exhibited by him and Lucy. The world is definitely a little darker because we have lost this faithful beacon of divine light who made our world better. So loved both John and Lucy and will miss him terribly.

Lucy & family! We are sad to read of John’s passing. Serving with you two on Emmaus Walks & being Texas Traditions neighbors gave us blessings of sharing life with you. Blessings!

Lucy, I am so sorry! I loved going to work everyday at the Methodist Church here in Meridian cause I knew I'd be greeted by John and his wonderful smile, he was the very best boss I have ever had. Sending prayers and love to you and your family.
