JOHN J. "BOO"
Age 59, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Beloved son of Rose M. (Camarda) and the late Thomas Balistrieri; husband of Pauline (Kappes) Balistrieri; devoted father of Thomas, John, Natalie (Ryan) Melcher and Marci (Ryan) Balistrieri; loving grandfather of Thomas, Nina, Giovanni and Sophia Balistrieri; brother of Mary Rose Reese Balistrieri; also survived by a special nephew, Matthew Reese; lifelong companion of Denise Weber; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. John graduated from Lawrenceville Catholic and was a veteran of the US Navy. He loved to be surrounded by his family, friends and music. He lived his life as one of his favorite songs and he would say: "I Did It My Way". Family and friends received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Monday 1-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Maria Goretti Parish, Friendship Campus on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

It's really hard to put into words how awesome of a guy you were.You loved life and live it your way and didn't care what anyone had to say.I admire how you always seen the good in people and loved them for who they were.Thanks for treating me as if I were your own. To the Balistrieri Family,
Boo was one of a kind he had the gift of gab a very charismatic person I'm pretty sure he's in heaven flashing his smile and telling some kind of story to the first angel he meets. I haven't seen Boo in many years I am so sorry to see he has have left his loving family at such a young age. May he rest in peace and to his dear family know that you have a loving supportive angel watching over you forever. My deepest sympathy.

Very sad to hear of Uncle Johnnys passing. He was so full of life, and lived it the way he wanted. Though, I could not be there in person to say goodbye, I am there in spirit. Rest in peace Uncle Johnny, and watch over us with Nanu, Nani Kelly and all those who have gone before us.

I cannot say enough how proud I was to be your niece. You will always remain such a special part of all of our lives. We will miss you every day and will never forget you.
