It has been a year for you and also me in losing the love of our lives. Not a day goes by that I dont think about Bill or I am sure you dont think about Jock. Memories keep us going but doesnt change how much we miss them.

To Ed and the Beachler family, my sincerest condolences. Dr. Beachler cared for me after I injured my leg skiing. He was compassionate and had a way of allaying one's fears. I last saw Jock around 1995 and of course, he stopped everything to spend a good 20 minutes catching up on what I had done since he last saw me as a high school student athlete.

For some reason, he popped into my head today --- perhaps because I had neck surgery a week ago and have been in a cast and confined to bed since then -- and upon looking for a phone number to call and say hi, found out about his passing. My deepest best wishes to the family. Know that your Dad, brother, uncle, etc., positively impacted thousands of people.

I worked for South Hills Orthopaedics ages ago. He was the most laid back and funny doctor I've ever worked for!!

Your tomorrows start without him
But don't think you're far apart
Since every time you think of him
He's right there in your heart.

He was such a nice man. He treated my children when they were younger and we lived in Pittsburgh. I remember when he found out my daughter was going to attend college in the Midwest he told and teased her she needed to start shopping at Orvis.

So sorry to hear of his passing . We know this was a great loss to all who knew him

What a great guy!! He was a masterful surgeon and one of the best coaches I ever knew!! He taught me more about life and sports than any man!! He repaired my knee many times and taught me more football than any coach. I always enjoyed an office visit with "Doc" as I knew I was in for great stories and laughter!! I was proud to have him as a friend!

We remember a lovely dinner with Jock, Joyce, Debbie, and David in Marco Island. It was fun to hear all the raucous stories from the past of these three Mt Lebo men. Although we can't be with you in person, our hearts are with you all as you lay this beloved man to rest.

Its important for me to acknowledge that fellow Veteran Jock, together with Ed Kelly, a Vietnam field surgeon, put my broken body back together in September of 1979. Skillful hands, guided by God's grace, kept me from a life in a wheelchair. I am forever grateful.

And so the long thin line of those who served grows thinner still, but for those of us who remain, so long as we utter your name, you are not forgotten. Go with God, fellow Veteran, and rest in peace where the guns are silent, and all comrades in arms are reunited.

Dr BEACHLER has always been a fun loving gentlemen with a twinkle in his eye and smile for everyone!!! As a new nurse in Orthopedics in 1977 he taught me so very much. Oh the jokes he told, we always knew the love of his life Joyce and all his children were the center of his world. Working with him @ Mercy Hospital and then St Clair Hospital I was able to be part of the open house on Vanadium Road. Many Many evenings in St Clair Hospital ER the big Blue van could be spotted helping all the many injured patients in the community. Rest In Peace Dr BEACHLER as you have served your family and community well. May your family always feel the love and pride you have for them.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Jock. He was an admired friend of mine at Mt. Lebanon High School. We graduated from high school in the same class. Jock excelled in so many areas of high school life, ~ academically, in leadership, and in sports. Jock was a born leader. I can picture now his genuine, welcoming smile. He seemed to love people, ~ all people. He had a great sense of humor. My prayers are for his family. May you all feel the powerful, healing love of our Lord in your lives. ~ Blessings to each of you, Leslie Runger Johnson
