Our sincere and deepest sympathy Gail, Allyssa and Jeremy.
Sandy and I have many wonderful memories of John during the TaeKwonDo years. We had alot of fun running the club, having meetings, working bingos, organizing and going to tournaments. John was very devoted to his volunteer work. John has a great smile and a wonderful sense of humor. We had alot of laughs together. I am sure that he will be sadly missed by all of you and many more. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Gail & Family, I was shocked to see John's face in the paper! Everytime we drove by each other at work we would both wave, he was a good man. His devotion to kids hockey will not be forgotten! Our thoughts are with you at this time in your lives, remember the good times.

Gail, Allyssa, Jeremy and family,
We were so sorry to hear of John’s sudden passing – far too soon!
Having lost Brenda’s sister a year ago in January we know that words simply cannot express the sorrow, emptiness and sadness that you are all experiencing.

We have fond memories of you all, who as our ‘next door neighbours’, helped make Regina our home when we were first relocated from Edmonton. We hope that time, your own memories and the love and support of those around you will ease the pain of your loss.

May you find some comfort in knowing that others are thinking of you with love and fond memories.

LIFE IS ALL IT EVER IS
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever I was to you, I still am: husband, dad, grandpa, friend.
Please -- call me by my old familiar names:
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone: wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed.
Pray for me: Smile: Think of me.
Let my name be the household word it always was.
Let it be spoken without a trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity.
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well, I Love You always

To the Berner Family:
How sad to see you have lost your father, John. Gordon and I (Helen) Schmidt have been checking the internet as we travel in the south of USA and found this this morning. We always loved to stop and talk to John whenever we bumped into him, be it at the rinks, the mall or the grocery store. We will sadly miss him. Our deepest condolences.
