John Best Obituary
He was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 15, 1965 to William Robert Best, Sr. and Carolyn Shannon Best.
John was an avid Washington football fan who never missed an opportunity to support the burgundy and gold. He was a history enthusiast with a special interest in the World War II era. John was a "people person" who enjoyed being in the company of others. A self-described foodie, he was in constant pursuit of a good slice of New York pizza. John loved music, especially classic rock and roll and blues.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brothers William Best, Jr. and Joseph Best. He was beloved father to David (Elsa) Fields, Timothy (Elijah Broaddus) Ebron, Dylan Best and Cassidy Best. He was grandfather to Jameson, Landon and Kadence Fields, Avery Jackson and Arya and Autumn Medrano-Best. He leaves behind his mother, two sisters, Carol (Alexander) Itzig-Heine of Germantown, MD and Christine Guillette of Wilmington, North Carolina and a host of cherished nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mother Seton Catholic Church in Germantown, MD.
Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD.

May you rest in the saviors embrace John. It´s so sad to hear that you´ve left us but those who are absent in body are present with the Lord. We will remember you for your infectious humor and I remember the great love you had for your life partner. Rest in peace.
