We were very saddened to learn of Blackies passing. He was a fine man and we always enjoyed having him as a customer at Dawgs. He will be greatly missed.

How can we possibly explain the way we feel about the end of a
60 year friendship. Johnnie was not only a friend, he was our
brother. The laughter we shared over the years was truly unique.
Rest In Peace our dear friend because when we meet again we
Are really going to raise some hell!

My memories of Uncle John were spending time at his house in the summers... thoroughly enjoying the swimming pool by spending all day in it with Brad and Sondi, then later having him threaten to show skinny dipping pictures at my wedding (never happened!)... Visiting the country club and him letting me try to drive a golf cart, screaming with excitement as he drove the car down a gravel road "shaking" the steering wheel from side to side to make the ride more fun for us kids.... Listening to him use his lisping, babyish "dog voice" to personify what the dog was thinking/ trying to tell us...I do mostly remember a smile on his face and easy laughter as his obituary says-- always looking for levity and to make people feel comfortable in every situation. We enjoyed out time with him and Aunt Marci and still miss her loving voice. They can pick up where they left off together now (probably with dogs too!) as they wait for the rest of us to join them...I look forward to seeing them and having a cocktail hour once I get there...

In loving memory of my brother John

John and I shared our childhood in Pittsburgh and spent many family vacations visiting our Grandparents in Blackwell, Pennsylvania.
Growing up during his pre-golf years John taught me how to play and
appreciate baseball and football. He also insured that I become an avid fan of both the Steelers and the Pirates.
After his marriage to Marci and starting his own family, we’ve remained close.
His children, Brad and Sondi have maintained family ties with their cousins
Amy and Susan.
John was the best brother and I will miss him dearly.
His loving sister Marti.

I first met John when I was a young man in the Brokerage business in Pittsburgh. John was an industry leader but he always had time to help me as a beginner in the business. He was a wonderful guy and he will be missed by all.
