I first met John at an MCB-7 Seabee reunion some years ago. From the start John had the 'CAN DO' attitude. We shall miss him dearly. Our sincerest sympathies to Claudette, his family and especially his brother Denny.

I met John in the Seabees. He was a very memorable friend. I am sorry for his family's loss. I was counted among his friends and I will miss him and his laugh. God bless him on his journey

My condolences to the family. I first came in contact with John via e-mail when I joined MCB-7 Island at Large in 2001 and later had the pleasure of meeting him at the Portland reunion. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

There are some people in this world who's spirit shines so brightly that they leave an profound impact on anyone they meet. That was Uncle John. It has been such an immeasurable blessing to be a part of this family, and to have been able to call him uncle. To say there's a vast emptiness on this earth where his spirit once lived is an understatement. But it makes me smile to picture him telling stories to our Lord in Heaven right now, once again whole, healthy and shining brightly!

Dad,
I will miss you more as the days go by than I do now. Everything good that I am came from you and mom. You were my hero and always will be.

John,

Who knew a son-in-law could miss you so much. Even with so many people filling your home Sunday it seemed so empty, so quiet and so lonely.

Thank you for being such an incredible man. Thank you for being there to listen, support and not judge. Thank you for many afternoon's on the golf course and evenings in the boat on Round Lake, not many fish but many great memories.

John, thank you so much for being my dad when mine passed away. Those were big shoes to fill but I always will think of you as my dad.

I will miss you so much John.

Rest in peace. Shane
