John will be missed for his pioneering and wisdom in putting into action improved care for seniors through technology. We loved his commentary going over years in Telehealth & Telecare Aware. Unfortunately we only learned of his loss over the summer. Our sympathies to his immediate and extended family. Donna Cusano (editor) and Steve Hards (editor/founder), Telehealth & Telecare Aware.

Firstly I would like to express my sincere condolences for your loss.
John and I first made contact via the Bird 18 project and from that day onwards we became really good friends and communicated on a regular basis, often swapping stores and listening to Johns adventures.
Johns contuined support for the Bird 18 VMO-6 project was unwavering and he always had so much energy and enthusiasm for what we were doing for his beloved squadron. He also always made time for my family and especially Lily my daughter which we are extremely grateful for and she often spoke about him and his visit to England in 2019.
Since Johns passing the world has become a little bit poorer but are lives are so much richer having met and known him, his memory shall live on within the project and with my family
Rest easy my friend, you're missed

Tears still fill my eyes as I think about John and his strengthening support for nearly 30 years. He too recognized the needs of seniors and caregiving families and in August, 1997 helped to organize a community meeting at First United Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall. It resulted in the formation of Boca Raton Interfaith in Action (BRIA), the foundation nonprofit corporation that today is the American Association of Caregiving Youth! For its first several years, John served as the Treasurer of BRIA and helped to guide its policies of volunteer services to the greater Boca Raton region.
I remain thankful for his life and recommendation for the George Snow Scholarship Foundation to begin support of Caregiving Youth. It has been an honor to know and work with John. I will always be thankful for him and the many indelible memories, perspectives and support he brought to my personal and professional life through the years.

I have so many fond memories of Big John. He was an amazing "father" to me over these 30+ years. We had a great relationship and could speak openly, like it or not!
He was the best man at our wedding and made an amazing speech. Unfortunately, he backed himself into a nearby ficus tree and, unknown to him as he was focused on the speech and not the tree, it became comical. We still have a good laugh over that!
I love you
