I would have loved to ponder with U what this world has been going through, but instead I will speak to U from my heart & wait for U wise & insightful reply. I know U soul is abundantly FREE & amused watching humanity navigate these challenging times, & YES I can hear U say, "this too shall pass"! Bless U kind soul John for all eternity.

You are missed John, but remembered each time my eyes catch sight of the paintings you gifted me with, and that hang in my home. You gave my Mother much happiness in your time together with her, and I keep a photo of the two of you dancing in the garden. I last saw you at her celebration of life, and was glad you had come. You were a treasure in every way, and I know you will have a wonderful journey ahead. Until our paths cross again I wish you freedom and joy.

I just heard about John's passing and feel sure I saw him, at a distance, as I departed Fisherman's Wharf in September. He still looked well, overseeing the property, but was gone by the time I reached the property. John, you were an incredible teacher-I always enjoyed our chats at your wonderful home, aside the restaurant. It was a voyage into Asian arts and I loved your many stories about artists of all kinds. Hi Everyone.
I was completely besotted by John when I met him a little over 2 years ago when I met him in the beautiful gardens and ambient setting of the Il Covo restaurant patio.
The next time I was under his spell he entertained me in his office/studio.
John's energy filled the room.
John not only showed me kindness, patience, tolerance, wisdom and intelligence but also 'his eyes' demanded my attention and he talked directly to me and my spirit (that night).
I have never posted online before.
Nor have I felt so much connection to a perfect stranger.
A Strange(r) he was...perhaps but very much so, but a kindred soul to me and spirit to reckoned with.
I'm sorry I did not get to meet this man earlier on this planet.
Perhaps his work was finished, anyway.
If Love is "passing on the light"

If ever you want to have a gathering in honor of John I would love to support that & arrange the food as well. The CHURCH OF TRUTH would be a fitting location? John is that 1 in a million souls that impact this world deeply & he changed my life EVERY TIME WE GOT TOGETHER. I especially want to hear some of his rare poetry which he shared with my dear son David & I on numerous special ocassions, especially when my dear son was deeply in pain with his brother passing, with another layer of pain, John so compassionately & honestly shared some very special poems that he wrote about his HEART PAIN personally. It moved us both beyond measure & was our last memory & visit with John last yr. Bless you for all your love & support for dear John. I KNOW heaven celebrated with a BIG BANG, when dear John stepped through the pearly gates of pure LOVE. So he should be honored for all the souls that he touched deeply. I will miss him eternally. Until I meet you in heaven dear John may you continue to guide me in raising up to be the best that I am created to BE. He was very sweet, very sophisticated and very strange, and we liked him that way.
First person to support my occasional publication La Rosa in the late eighties, when he reigned above La Boheme on Johnson Street.
Very generous in his encouragement of the arts in little old Victoria.

I adored U dear father John & Im very saddened today especially as I only found out NOW that dear John is at peace free in the infinite universe. Bless U ALL dear family, & bless John for all that he was did & is in spirit for humanity. I will always cherrish knowing him & being graced with his kindness wisdom & especially humor in only the rare fashion that dear John expressed himself. Im very sad to know he has left this earthly plane but comforted to know he is infinitely free of all suffering now.
