Gretchen, Caig, and Jill - I am so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your father. There's never enough time to spend with our parents, to say the things we really want, but I'm sure many memories can bring smiles for years to come and to share with others in your own families now. From our childhood days, I always knew your parents house was always open and welcoming. Your dad had a very successful business, but more importantly I think all three of you can cherish and hold special memories of how each of you at one time got to work side by side with your dad at UTS. That's a special relationship you can hold onto forever. Peace and health to each of you.

To the Bohna family, my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your father. I go so far back with your family, especially your mother, and I think of her often with great fondness. She would love knowing I finally have a granddaughter, Grace. Your father always teased me about my Uniontown roots, since he was from neighboring Brownsville, also coal mining country. My memories are very vivid of all of you at a young age and I suppose the acceptance in the loss of both your parents is to realize they are no longer suffering, and are at peace. I lost my father at age 80 and my mother and sister when each was just 70. Still too soon. I hope good memories of your early years in Pittsburgh will comfort you at this time of loss.

Dear Craig and Gretchen:

My condolences on your dad's passing and best thoughts to everyone else in your family. While I didn't know your father, reading about his life gave me a warm feeling. I hope that your fond memories of this wonderful man sustain you during this difficult time and perpetually.

Dear Gretchen and Craig: I was terribly sorry to hear that your dad passed away. As you probably know, I have known your dad for over 40 years and we were very good friends. He was a great guy.
I guess at this point he will be joining your mother. I wish the both of you the very best. I wanted to come to see your dad at the funeral home but other matters prevailed. Dot and I send our deepest sympathy to both of you and your family.

Dear Jill, Gretchen, and Craig,

I am sorry for the sudden loss of your dad. His death makes me remember living in Pittsburgh in our younger years and enjoying our friendships. Your dad always made me think of the wonderful possibilities of travel when I walked by the business. I wish for peace for each of you.
