JOHN E. (JACK) Bouchard, III
Nashville, TN

John E. (Jack) Bouchard, III (1935-2015) knew the Way, followed the Truth, loved the Life and was resurrected to GOD on April 29th.
Born in Nashville July 18, 1935, to John E. Bouchard, Jr and Margaret Pullen Williams Bouchard, he, after several boyish pranks, proudly graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy and then Vanderbilt University Engineering School, Class of '57, as a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and editor of "VSquare".
From Camp Boxwell to Eagle and Distinguished Eagle Scout, Long Rifle & Silver Beaver Awards and board service of the Middle TN Council, he loved the adventure and mentoring of the Boy Scouts of America.
Starting at age 15, he began sweeping the Machine Shop in summers and faithfully served his family's fifth-generation business, John Bouchard & Sons Co., including as President from 1970-2000, and Board Chairman from 2000 until the present.
Jack served in the US Army Ready Reserves and active duty in 1962. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Nashville, the Mechanical Contractors Assoc of Nashville, Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Middle TN and steward of the farm GOD gave them - loving GOD in the labor and sharing His creation with many.
He was a member of Nashville's Business Presidents Council and of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
As teaching leader of Bible Study Fellowship 1983-2005, his excitement for the Reality of GOD's WORD was contagious.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nan Gore Bouchard; 3 daughters, all of Nashville: Laurie Bouchard and her children Andrew, Page and Jack; Lisa Bouchard Morgan (William) and their children Carver, Sumner and Wallace; Lynn Bouchard Proctor (David) and their children Beckett and Grayson; 2 sisters, Betty McHugh (Steve) and Peggy Bouchard; and uncle Elliott Williams (Betty); many nieces and nephews, as well as many brothers and sons in the Beloved adoption of Jesus the Redeemer.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at Rosehill, 3110 Del Rio Pike, Franklin, TN 37069. A Worship Celebration is at 3 p.m. Monday, May 4 at Forest Hills Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. A graveside service for family will be held earlier.

Jack Bouchard was first and formost a Gentleman. His demeanor and character were above reproach. He was a long time member of our Business Leadership Group and we valued his friendship highly. He will be cherished in my memory.

"Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of my Father." Good and faithful--that about sums up Jack Bouchard for me. I knew him only through Dale Denny and that was more than sufficient for me to know the tremendous influence Jack had on Dale and innumerable others.

Jack did not bend nor bow for anyone, he was tough as steel and a

I am saddened by Jack's death. I served on the Rotary Board with him for a number of years. I always admired his integrity, his compassion and his leadership abilities. I stand beside Jack's family in their grief.

Mr. B. started work as an apprentice and that's how he started my work experience at JBS. I was hired to be a receptionist, but learned about JBS & Sons Co. by cleaning out an attic, boxing up years' worth of job files and organizing the company's shift from DOS to the 20th century of real' computers. One thing I learned above everything else: Jack Bouchard walked what he talked. I typed Bible lessons, Boy Scout agendas and contracts for Mr. B; each was an example of his integrity. My prayers of comfort are with you, Nan, and your daughters and their husbands. God's speed, Mr. B., save a place at the Table for us. Ginny Kirkland (Springfield, TN)

This books does not have enough pages to hold the names of the people that your father has helped, taught, been an inspiration to, given advice and guidance to or in some other way touched their lives. Regardless of your status he never made you feel less important than himself.

The Lord has gained a mighty soldier and we have been left a mighty legacy. Even though he may not physical be with us he will always remain in our heart, our thoughts and will forever be an inspiration to always do right and live for the Lord. He has left us a path that we can follow and will be a welcome beacon to bring us home.

For anyone that knows him their life has been changed for the good and are marching along the same path until the Lord says, Well done my good and faithful servant you have fought the good fight and you have won.

Blessing and Love

God's Life was conveyed to me and to countless others - mostly men but undoubtedly women as well - through the life of Jack Bouchard. He will be missed, but his life and God's in us will continue. Thanks be to God and His Son Jesus Christ.
