In memory of
Beth Glazier
July 2, 2025
I remember John with fondness and smiles. He was an incredible coach and a special mentor....and he could change tires with the best of them. After practice one night I remember standing next to my new Nissan Altima and staring with horror at a totally flat tire I had no idea how to change. John came along and before I could say a word, he found the jack, changed the tire and sent my son and me on the road home to Danville. That night, more than 23 year ago, remains among my special memories of John.
May we be comforted by such memories and may John´s memory be for a blessing.

I have such fond memories of John. He is a great friend. We had not seen each other in quite a while but the times we talked it was like not missing a beat. Nobody was a better person than John. It is an honor to know him and count him as a friend.

Jan, you have shown incredible support, bravery, compassion and empathy in this life changing journey. You truly were the wind beneath his wings. I can´t image the many times you faced absolute disheartening grief, yet you shouldered onward in your commitment to John. Now you have taken on the mantle of his ongoing legacy. May you find peace and a measure of grace in what lies ahead.

I had the privelege of meeting John through my brother Mike Lyden, while they both Coachedand shared an office at The University of Kentucky. When my brother was diagnosed with Cancer, Coach Brucato, along with Head Coach Gary Connelly and all of the Swimming & Diving Athletes gave Full Support to our Brother, who also died of a Horrible Illness. John was right there for Michael and his Family.
I am grateful Mike had a special friend in John. Mike would have been there for John in a New York Second! Both Men and Coaches could not been Better examples to their athletes on Positive Role Models.
Meeting John and his wife Jan were one of the biggest honors of my life.
I am so grateful to have known you.
Thinking of Jan and his beautiful family at this time. John loved his career, but his family was the light of his life. You can see that in every picture shared by him and Jan
