I saw a million pictures of John, mostly side by side with Gretchen, before we ever shared physical space. It was there that I experienced his true nature, and I enjoyed every second of it. He was kind and funny and gracious and he lived an authentic life. I loved that. I wish more people were that true and I will always hold that place for him in my heart. I'm grateful for that wee moment in this space that we shared.

John´s friendship, his sense of humor and his quiet courage made life in Beachwood so much better. He was a great neighbor and friend.

Lucky for me I got to finally meet the man named John shortly before he passed. The stories I heard made me laugh and see the magic that was Gretchen and John. I love you Gwetchie with all of my heart and treasure the memories that I was able to gather of you both together.
Peace and love to you

I am so very sorry for the loss of John Burnett. I pray that the peace of Jesus comforts his wife, children, grandchildren and friends during this great time of sorrow. John was always a very kind person. My memories of our childhood hold nothing by good things about John. Rest in my friend until the day that we hear that trumpet blow.

My husband John was my best friend, my greatest supporter, my biggest comfort, my strongest motivation, my truest smile, my deepest love, my favorite, my forever. He has me. Entirely." I knew the first time we met that we would be together for our forever even though our forever together wasn't long enough. I'll never stop grieving, I'll never stop loving you.
