I remember John as a kind and sensible man. He was a blessing to me when I was privileged to live in White Oak, attend school and visit his home often as an elementary school student. He was a loving example of patience and hard work who enjoyed the fun of a simple prank

May God bless each and every one in the Burney family.Mr. John Frank was a real blessing to all
who knew him.He was one the most beloved and respected residents that White Oak has ever
known.Memories of him will remain with us until we all reunite in Heaven.....
I MAY NOT SEE YOU WITH MY EYES
OR HEAR YOU WITH MY EARS
BUT THOUGHTS OF YOU REMAIN WITH ME
AND OFTEN DRY MY TEARS
YOU WHISPER IN THE AUTUMN LEAVES
THAT LINGER IN THE FALL
AND IN THE GENTLE EVENING BREEZE
I`M SURE I HEAR YOUR CALL
I THINK OF ALL THE HAPPY TIMES
AND THEN I SOFTLY SIGH
FOR SOMEDAY SOON WE`LL MEET AGAIN
AND NEVER SAY GOODBYE......

To all the Family Members: Mr. John Frank was a great man, an even greater person and friend. I have nothing but fond memories of knowing and associating with him as he served as a County Committee member for ASCS-USDA, Bladen County. He was always kind, caring, thoughtful, and had the interest and concern for the Bladen County farmers as he served as a Committeeman. He was a friend to all of us employees, and I can say without hesitation that we all loved Mr. John Frank; and in return, I am confident that he loved each one of us. What a wonderful legacy he leaves behind for his children, grandchildren and all his family members. God so generously blessed Mr. John Frank with longevity; I am sure he has now been reunited with his loving wife and other family members and friends who died before him. To the family I extend my most sincere sympathy on the loss of your beloved Dad, Granddad, and brother. May God give you comfort during this time of loss and Peace in knowing that Mr. John Frank lived a long, good, and happy earthly life and is now enjoying his rewards of a heavenly life with loved ones.

Take comfort in knowing that those who have died, to God are as good as alive. A good name is better than good oil and the day of death is better than the day of birth.

Uncle John you will be missed but your legacy will be of a man who loved God and all his imediate and extended family. I will always acknowledge how you were always a great uncle and mentor. My dad Rufus always talked highly of you. Your home was always open to me and our family. I am extremely blessed to have had you in my life. May the Lord bless and comfort your family during this difficult time. I know I will see you again. You will be missed by so many. Thank you Lord for giving me the gift of my Uncle John, and be with all those who mourn his loss.

Mr. John has gone to his Jesus and left a huge empty spot among us. His wisdom, help, advice, hugs, and love of good fun and laughter are among the things he freely gave all of us.
We loved him and no Mrs. Mabel and always appreciated their kindness.
