John Ralph Camera

Thank you for sharing about John with us. What a beautiful soul that lived a full and inspirational life. We should all aspire to learn from John's story about how to live our best lives with joy and be in service to others and our families. 

My deepest condolences on the loss of both John and Joyce. I didn't get the chance to leave a comment on her obituary, so I will leave a note of sympathy here for the two of them. They are together once again in heaven. May God give all of you peace in their absence until you see them again. 

I will remember to share John's kindness with a smile of my own for strangers as my personal tribute to him.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We had heard he was sick. He was a great godfather to me. I loved spending birthdays with him, your mom and the rest of the family. Our family get-togethers were always a lot of fun. I know what it's like to loose a dad, but I love having memories of him. Love, Cris

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Camera. His obituary tells the story of the good life he lived. My family and I were their next-door neighbors on Tyler Street in the 1960's. My sincere condolences to the Camera family.

The first time I had the great pleasure of meeting John Camera was when I came to visit Anita Way with my college roomie, Joan Camera. He greeted me with a big glass of red wine and a hug, and I was smitten! Fast forward to my wedding day, with Joan as maid of honor, when I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, his joyous voice loudly proclaimed `BEAUTIFUL´!! Loved it!! He was the BEST!! He set the tone and had the extraordinary ability to connect with anyone, and make them feel `at home´ and at ease... and this was but one of his many unique gifts of kindness and compassion for all. We will always remember him, with a smile. Wishing the entire Camera family peace in the days ahead, and hope that they can take comfort in happy memories. Much love to all!

I spent most of my early life living next to the Camera clan on Anita Way. My memories of Mr. Camera were of him always laughing and smiling- seeming to love life and his family. Many fond memories of our families gathering in the Camera family room to watch Laugh-In and tagging along as young kids to Trenton High while our parents played tennis. My condolences to my long ago best friend Joanie and the entire family.

As a younger man I was given the advice of " enjoy a conversation with an older person, it will be time well spent" I only wish I had that oppertunity with Mr. Camera. Your next vacation in eternity is well derserved !

Pop Pop was always making me laugh and smile. When I got my first job he would ask me when I got home "How´d we do today, partner?" He also imparted wisdom in that moment and told me "For every dollar you make there´s 3 people trying to take it from you." He was such an amazing joke teller, like a true comedian whenever I tried to retell his jokes it could never compare to the real thing. There´s something about a barber who went to Italy and hated everything, his client goes to Italy and loves it all but says the only downside was everyone asking him where he got such a terrible haircut! RIP Pop-pop, I love you!

It was always a pleasure to spend time with Pop pop. He truly was a role model for everyone as to how to best use our short time together on this planet. A neighbor who recently passed summed it up when asked what is the key to a good life? He replied, "Love everybody and don't take life too seriously"

Mr. Camera and his family were my next-door neighbors on Tyler Street in Trenton, N.J. back in the 1950's; I was friendly with his daughter Jill. I believe there were 3 Camera children then and it looks like the family kept growing! Glad to see Mr. Camera led a full and long life.
