John and I served in the glorious 1/5 First Calvary Division in Vietnam. We went through training together and had many good times as well as tough times together. Love you John and hope to see you again in God´s house. James M Baca Machine Gunner Bravo Co.

A great person and Friend. I have known many people in my life time but never a person like John. He was there when ever you need him . Many bosses I have had in my life time but never a person to work for any like John. We became friends at Stella D.oro and I worked part time for him when he owned a hardware store in Danville . He would stop by my home many times and it was like a person how cared for you and not worrying only about himself. The world will miss a great person like him . We need more people like him. I miss you John ,we had or little talks and many laughs . You will always be missed but never forget . Him had a great family ,his children were him and after you meet them you will see. why they are Him .Great Job John ,May see you again and we can talk over old times . I do miss our Breakfasts and talks with all the gang and laughs.

I have had many Bosses in my life time ,but one who was as loyal and honest as John . Not only being a great boss he was a true friend, Always there when you needed him .I worked for him at Stella D'oro and worked for him ,when he owed the hardware store in Danville. I have many good thoughts of him .Many laughs . He always keep you up and was a very true, which we can use more of and loyal Friend and a lot of us will miss him. A very true Family man . He raise a great family and you can see that they all will follow in Johns foot prints. When he lost Kathy is was good found someone else to live the rest of his life .I think Kathy would want that way. Goodbye John We will meet again and still have our laughs. My deepest sympathies are with the Capitani family as they navigate this difficult time. While you all gather to bring honor to the life of someone so cherished and loved, be sure to fortify yourselves with the words of the Holy Scriptures. (1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14)
