My sincerest condolences to the family of Mr. Caponegro. I'm sorry I am just learning now of his passing! This makes me so sad! He was such a wonderful teacher!! I failed the music test in elementary school to get an instrument I wanted so I got private lessons to play the flute. I told Mr Caponegro and he had me audition to join the schools band! He wasn't going to just put me in! Not only did I make it but he was so impressed (Simon and Garfunkel song no less) He bumped me right up to first seat Flute and had me also added to his orchestra!! It was an absolute honor to play for such a man!!! I'm so sorry to hear of his passing!! He's one of my favorite memories of Waverly Avenue!! Thank You and May Your Memory Be Eternal ❤

Mr. Caponegro was my elementary orchestra teacher and was responsible for introducing me to the best parts of my life - music. Music was the gift he gave that has forever changed my life for the better. I am saddened by his loss and my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
