John Carlo Obituary
New Tampa, FL - John F. Carlo, Sr., 79, of New Tampa, Florida, formerly a resident of Nutley, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Vincent and Lena (David) Carlo. Before retiring, John was employed at Graytor Printing, Inc. in Lyndhurst for 35 years. John was Past Exalted Ruler of Nutley Elks Lodge 1290 and was also very active in the Nutley Central Little League and the sports program at Holy Family School/Good Shepherd Academy.
John is survived by his wife, Helen (Giangarelli), his sons, James, John Jr. and his wife Michelle, Thomas and his wife Elisa, Frank and his wife Allison, and his grandchildren Christin, Cheyenne and Hailey. He also leaves his sisters, Genevieve Cerca and Nina Katowski and his brother, James, along with many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson, John III.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 24, 2021 at 6:00 PM in Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley.
