I had Johnny in class. As his teacher he drew several caricatures for me. He will be missed

RIP John

I met Johnny when he was 15 or 16. He would come to the Dallas Fantasy Fairs. I was a dealer in the show and met him, got to be friends with him, he would hang out at our booth, and he would trade me art work for comic books. I still have a Batman sketch that he drew me when he was 16. I shared a friendship with Johnny all these years. I followed his career and collected the books he drew. I was able to have lunch with him in NYC when we visited. I saw him whenever he was in Dallas for a show and we would get caught up and visit. I am at a loss - saddened and surprised he is gone.
