John Joseph Charland Sr.

This is the first I'd heard of Johns passing. I worked with him at the Mesa plant. He was a great friend, meticulous worker and a talented musician. So sad to see him gone.

I am living with my daughter, Robyn, for the next 3-6 months. This is my new e-mail address.

Thank you so much for your kind words about John. You obviously knew him well. Our lives will never be the same. I feel empty inside, and have lost my soulmate. Somehow we must go on without him, but he will live in my heart forever. Again, thank you for taking the time to send these messages. You have no idea how much they mean to me.

John and I worked on the Keithley test system together at Motorola. John was a detail person and a very meticulous and capable technician. You couldn’t rush him through a job because he always wanted to do it right. I am sure that he will be missed by many. My heart go out to the family.

We are so sorry for your loss. John will be remembered in our prayers at Mass this coming Sunday. We wish you peace and love.

A friend told me about this guest book so I decided to check it out. I was pleasently suprised to see so many entries from friends, family and even strangers. My dad would have loved to see how many lives he touched. My mom is in the hospital right now- as my fathers death has been so difficult for her to handle on her own. She seems to be getting better each day. I will be printing out all your entries and will bring them to her to read. She will be so happy to read them. All of your kind words will be aiding in my mother's recovery. Thank you all so so much for everything.

I worked at the Mesa Motorola plant for many years. John supported the test equipment where I worked. He was always pleasant to be around and fun to work with. John got me started collecting Hard Rock Cafe pins which was one of his passions. He will be missed very much!!

John Charland, my freind, your absence will be greatly felt by many. The years I spent will you were a blessing. To be able to come across your freindship in life will never be forgotten. When we played together in the band, our souls unitied into one and the music as well. I pray that all in heaven have the pleasure of hearing your notes.

Too many questions and not enough answers. John was a dear friend for over 20 years. I'm not sure I knew anyone with a bigger heart or a greater love for his family and friends. I hope he finds the eternal joy and happiness that was taken from him in this life. John, I will take care of the Stella 12 string until we can play it together.

Jen, Robyn, and John Jr., I am so sorry for the loss of John Sr. He was a great man and a great musician. He is the reason that I still play my guitar today. He taught me things noone else did. He will be missed. My condolences go out to you and the rest of his friends and family.

I have known John for about 34 years and during this time he was quiet but very philosophical, not to mention his lyrical talents. I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I didn't know John I know his newphew Patrick and have heard many wonderful things about him. He will be missed by everyone that knew him and even missed by the ones who only knew of him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
