When Search & Rescue needed to be done by an aircrew John was the first in line. Many missions were flown by John and this last mission of flight will be his best and our longing.

Maj John Cokor was one of unit OH077's very active members especially in the areas of ES as a Mission Pilot, Observer, and Scanner in later years and Communications utilizing his talents and experience as an amateur radio operator. Maj Cokor was the officer who controlled the practice ELT for many years which allowed OH077 members and check pilots to practice and evaluate ELT searches. Maj Cokor was one who never left a task unfinished and was one of CAP's significant memtors. Never having a negative word about anyone, he was a gentlemen's gentleman.
