Dr. John Joseph Collins D.O.

John was such a wonderful man, devoted to his family and his patients. He and Maura were always fun to be with. John and I learned by chance that we'd been third graders together at St. Suzanne School in Detroit so we shared school memories. My heart is with Maura and the family.

It was truly a gift, treasure and privilege to know John. May he rest in Perfect Peace as choirs of Angels lead him into Paradise. May the The Peace of Christ beyond all understanding comfort his family at this time of deep loss and grief. Chuck and Nuala Wilmanski

I always enjoyed calling on Dr. Collins. Although he always had a joke or something to make me laugh, he was courteous enough to let me get a few things in about my products. Whenever I go golfing, I think about Dr. Collins because I still have the sand wedge in my bag that I gave to him as a gift and he returned to me a year later because he said it didn't work. He disagreed when I told him it was probably not the club but operator error.

My condolences to the entire Collins family. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by not just you, but by an entire community. God bless.

John was my dear friend and physician for many years. He was a compassionate loving kind human being. RIP my friend and we all know those Heavenly Gates were opened for you to enter your new home❤. Watch over all of us.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dr. Collins. He was a colleague who I also considered a friend. I enjoyed our conversations and will never forget his laugh. He was open to new ideas that would improve his patients' care as his career was his passion. When we discussed family, it was evident how much he loved Maura and his kids and grandkids. I will miss him.

My condolences to the family. I often talked to John about ongoing care for his patients whom he knew and loved caring for. And he always called me"Dougie Baby" when he answered the phone. And now we celebrate a Life Wejj Jived.

Best doc I ever had. He frequently made me chuckle and had a fine appreciation of my limitations as a patient and as a fellow human being.

I have always admired John as a beloved physician, a dedicated family man,and a devout member of the Catholic Church, primarily St. Joseph of Battle Creek. But my admiration deepened as he courageously faced his debilitating illness, spending his time supporting many positive endeavors. My prayers are with all your family. God bless you.

Miss You My Friend! A Guy with a smile from the Heart when he saw you coming!!
Two things I will always remember about my Friend the most.
1. Bringing home a fast car and taking it out to Fort Custer to test the horsepower!
(He loved to spin tires)
2. Learning how to snow ski together with all our friends and Family! All the Great trips we shared together!! (Skiing out of Bounds)
