john was a tremendous person. He was a mentor for me and many of our fellow TEC friends. He will always be remembered as a caring person who was deeply interested in the success and happiness of those who surrounded him. Fond memories of several trips with John especially the story telling in Malone, NY. Kindest sympathy. Brad

Sincere sympathy to John's family.
Went on a golf trip to Jamaica with John and a friend some time ago.
I've been golfing for close to 60 years and never met a golfer who knew the rules of the game as well as John. Great Guy!
Rest in peace.

Dear Madame Burns, dear Family, Very saddened to read about John's passing. As the former MPP for Prescott and Russell at Queen's Park, I had the pleasure and the honour to discuss with him on a number of occasions the dossiers pertaining to pharmacists and pharmacies in Ontario. He was always a perfect gentleman in his lobbying. A model amongst many, a most pleasant person. After my political mandate, we maintained a close contact as he continued his strong community support for which we will be always grateful. A man graced with the utmost integrity, generosity, and professionalism. Yes, he will be sadly missed. His immense contribution to the well-being of all will always remain in our hearts. To you, John, the master sommelier, I raise my glass high and thank you for all of your true friendship and your much appreciated commitment to excellence. Salut, mon ami et un grand merci pour tout.
