so sorry to hear about john's passing.
we spent time together as room mates while in Los Angeles.
he is and was a great guy who was friend's with many Hollywood stars whom we know.
and then one day..he rode off on his motorcycle..to explore the country.
and from there..he continued on for even more discoveries.
i would send him parts for his motorcycle to obscure towns only served by greyhound bus...for quick delivery.

I was so sad to hear of Mr.Conroy's passing. What a life he lived....full and accomplished and surrounded with love. I have many fond memories of him from my years growing up in Pittsburgh....his smile, his jokes, his laugh.....being kind enough to take me along on your family vacation! I am so sorry to hear of Johns death. He was a wonderful friend to Joe and I for so many years! We have had so much in common with both John and Barbara with a history of friendship beginning in college. I love you John. Nancy Stauff

Patty and I send our condolences to to you and your family. One of our fondest memories, was meeting you and John by chance, at the Navy Lodge in Naples,Italy, on one of our many Space A travels. Maybe fate. We always enjoyed our luncheons at MOWW, with John.

Although I, by far, am not the final judge of John's life, I believe the following paraphrase of 2 Timothy, Chapter 4, Verse 7 sums it up: [John, throughout your lifetime, you] fought the good fight, [you] finished [life's] race, [and you] kept the faith. For those of us you've left behind who are still plodding through our earthly journeys, the memory of you will always remain an inspiration and occupy a big place in our hearts.

Barb: Sorry to hear of your loss.John & I tried to get to Florida for semester break in my plane & weather stopped us in South Carolina (1960). He then caught a Bus to Ft.Lauderdale,& I ended up in New York.We always loved to rehash that flight together. BARRY LONG

So sorry to hear of John's death. I remember my mother (Nancy Conroy Burke) talking of how he married a woman named Barbara, and her (Nancy's) parents were named John and Barbara Conroy. Sad to have people in the family pass.

John was a friend and shipmate in the Naval Intelligence Program over the past 40 years. We shared many wonderful times together and I have the fondest of memories of out experience together. He was a wonderful person and we are much richer for having known him.
