John CORMACK Obituary
On December 28, 2011 John Albert Cormack passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. For the past year, John was fighting the battle of his life. His presence in our lives was a gift for which we will always be grateful.
John was born in Edmonton on January 11, 1939. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Alberta, his parents, John and Josephine Cormack, father-in-law, Rod McPhail, sister, Barbara Cormack and grandson, Adam Roth. John leaves to mourn his loss four daughters and one son: Doris (Doug), Gail (Bruce), Guy, Colleen (Dave), Erin (Ken); ten grandchildren: Lane (Kylie), Kimberley (Lanny), Joshua, Hannah, Evan, Anne-Marie, Leilani, Ellie, Bohdan and Parker; his sisters: Margaret (Dan), Kathy, Pat (Garry) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Connelly- McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton. John's life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, 10821 - 96 Street, Edmonton.
Flowers are thankfully declined. Those who so wish may make memorial donations directly to the Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples.

My sincere condolences to the Cormack Family for your loss. John and Alberta and I were friends back in the early 60,s when we worked at the Mayfair Hotel together. We had some great times that have lasted my lifetime in memory. It was a privilage to have known both John and Alberta.

Sincere condolences to the Cormack family and close friends. My friendship with John dates back to the late 60's and 70's where we spent many memorable moments looking after PWA's customers and fond memories of the socializing afterward.
