John Nicholas Correa

John was tragically taken from us on July 3rd, 2024.

John was born and raised in Long Beach, attended Emerson, Stanford and Millikan High School. John loved all sports, especially baseball and he was a lifelong Dodger fan. He continued playing throughout his life from Los Altos Little League to his college years. The Correa Family were John's biggest cheerleaders. They went to all his games, including All-Stars, Connie Mack, CIF games, College games, College World Series, and when he was a Coach for Millikan's Varsity Baseball Team. He loved his two school teams and Teammates, Millikan High School Varsity Baseball #9 Rams & UC Berkeley Cal Baseball #14 Bears. Millikan won the 1983 CIF Championship @ Anaheim Stadium, and UC Berkeley Cal Baseball Team went to the 1988 College World Series. After graduating from UC Berkeley, JC returned home & received his Real Estate License & Teaching Credential. He returned to Millikan Varsity Baseball as an asst coach, mentoring young athletes, teaching at Millikan HS, Hamilton & Jefferson Middle schools for 5 years. John then received an opportunity to teach English at a private college in Toyoko, Japan which he did for two years. He then traveled throughout Southeast Asia, Europe & South America before returning back to Long Beach.

John pursued a career in Real Estate & Mortgage Loans helping clients finding their dream home or assisting them in obtaining home loans for 35 years.

On July 3, 2024, John was invited as a passenger on a boat to watch the evening sunset. John loved Sunrises & Sunsets, so it was no surprise that he would want to enjoy this. Little did we know how the night would end as John's life was tragically and senselessly cut short due to the actions of an intoxicated boat driver. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the irreversible consequences that can result from a person making the choice of getting behind the wheel of a boat, car or any vehicle, while under the influence.
