Dear Sheila and family,
My deepest condolences to you all on your loss. I am sorry I was not able to attend the service today, but you and he have been on my mind this past week.

He was an absolutely fantastic inspiration and mentor for me as I began my career in medicine, and so kind in his willingness to share his wisdom. I remain forever grateful for the gift he was in my life at a critical time.
