John Chester Culver

Few had greater impact on my life's direction than John C. Culver. I'll never forget this "larger than life" figure; his strength of character, passion for democratic values, love of family, core beliefs and a good story...He lives on in my heart! I consider it one of the best experiences of my life to have known his family, worked on a re-election campaign in Iowa. His loss in 1980, led to my becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer, life-long interest in politics. Prayers of thanksgiving and love to all the Culver family.
