John was a superb salesman. I hired him as a sales merchandiser . I will always remember John as a kind good humor person that always carried a great joke and a smile

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to John's wife Trudy, his son Rob, and daughter-in-law Gordena. John was a wonderful man who always had a smile and a joke to tell. It was always a pleasure to visit with John and Trudy whenever we went to Calgary and he will be truly missed.

We all mourn the loss of a good friend. I never had the honor to meet you and John in person, but after about 4 years of emailing with John I felt a friendship, grown through mutual respect. We started out with opposing views on Forums in Dutch Newspapers. He stood his ground and I expressed mine, two "stubbern" Hollanders.
But it all changed, we started exchanging jokes, etc. We pushed politics aside. We were blessed and privileged that John became part of our lives. We will certainly miss him.

I wish to extend my sincere condolence in the passing of John. He will be truly missed by his family and all those who knew him.

When we moved to Banff Trail, John reached out to my children right away. He has been a playful and loving neighbour, and we will miss him. Our love goes out to Trudy during this difficult time.

Jan was a good friend. He blessed us with his opinions, his jokes and his stubbern ways. We are priviliged that he was part of our lives.

To remember us of John: a true character, a spirited, free thinker and wonderful man, who will be in our minds for many years to come.
