I was very fortunate to have worked with John as an editor for HCI/Buckaroo Communications. He was a great mentor and taught me many things about the industry and about professionalism. He will be missed.

I was so saddened by the loss of John. When he moved Buckaroo Communications to Tennessee in 2005 I was blessed to have been given the opportunity to work beside a very special person. I will forever remember John.

Johnny Dianna and I spent many years together at the racetracks, including when we ran the Dianna/Ripes Hot Rod Magazine '57 Corvette in 1970. I always called him "Johnny Junior Stock", and he always called me "Marvin 2 Speed." Although sometimes we didn't see each other for many years at a time, Johnny still showed up for me on some important occasions, such as at the 2014 Junior Stock reunion in York, PA; and at my 80th surprise birthday party in California last year. He was not well on either occasion, but he still came out to see me. That's what friends are for.

Johnny Junior Stock, rest in peace, good buddy. We will go racing again, one day.

I'm so sorry that Johnny is no longer in our lives. We shared the same birthdate and used to celebrate it every year when he lived in LA. After he moved away, he continued for years to call on that day each year until a few years ago.
We always were able to laugh about what was happening in our lives. We knew each other's families. My condolences especially to his family.
