Just thinking of you uncle John and knowing you have been watching over me and guiding me through this crazy life. We all miss you dearly and miss our visits with you. I often stop by and say hi at the cemetery and I hope you know I am there at that moment. Please continue to help me make the right decisions through the craziness. Love and miss you so much!

I wish I had been able to get to know John before his passing.

You are truly the definition of a fighter, a man with a million lives. I am sad you aren't here with us anymore, but glad that you don't have to endure anymore hospital visits (though all the nurses loved you and swung from the doors when they entered your room). I'll miss sending you pictures of the dinners I made then you sending me back something far superior that you whipped up. I'll miss teasing you about not getting my container of Creole mix and joking that Jaime must be hoarding them all to sell on the black market for diapers. Rest in peace uncle John and say Hi to Gram for us all, I know she met you at the pearly gates.
Love you,
Kelley

I'll never forget our tractor rides. I still make my steaks and burgers exactly how you taught me. We'll get lunch eventually when illness can no longer separate us, Grandpa John. You've got my word. Rest in peace
