So very sorry to hear about John’s passing. We were his neighbors on Secor for a few years in the late 80’s. He was a wonderful person and great friend and neighbor. Hopefully he’s caught up with our dog Ralph, whom he loved, in heaven.

John and I were introduced by our mutua, and forever dear l friend, Suzanne Restivo Killy, during the summer when I was twelve years old. Sue and I spent our summers at North Shores, in LaSalle Michigan, and John visited and spent time with us there. We had the best of times...back then we called it 'a blast'! John was more fun than anyone I knew. We remained close all through High School, then as often happens, we lost touch as we headed to college. I found John walking in the Mall almost eight years ago. We were each getting a little exorcise, and we walked together almost every morning until the Pandemic struck. Late last Fall, John, Suzanne and I celebrated a 50 year reunion from our childhood years. There we were as if 50 years had not passed by. It was wonderful! ...and a blessing to be cherished. John and I shared a special love of our dogs, and we shared the grief when we had to lose them. John was my dear friend, and I will always miss him and hold him dear to my heart. May his memory be for a blessing.

Uncle John ''You Will Be Missed'' by both of us. We enjoyed our visits while in Toledo. Sami will miss your text exchanges. We know that your health was failing and our last visit was short. Take care of yourself, we will miss you and our time spent together. May you ''rest in peace'' and enjoy our family members in heaven. Love Carey & Sami Ammons

John & I were neighbors when he lived on Secor Rd. We kept in touch for years after he moved to Sylvania township & he always remained in my thoughts. My condolences to his sister & family, I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him. RIP dear John.

I went to Ladyfield with John from Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Those were wonderful days with elementary school friends. We remained close friends throughout our high school years. We shared a common pride in our Italian heritage. I looked forward to his visits to North Shore and Grandview during the summers. As high school students he introduced me to a new friend of his from Central Catholic. I have been married to that friend of John'a for 52 years. John was in our wedding. Last Spring I was fortunate enough to have a very dear friend of John's and mine, Linda Shapiro Selman, arrange a meeting with the three of us. It was an amazing afternoon of laughter and shared memories which I will treasure. May he rest in Peace.
