I am so very sad to hear of your sudden death and want to thank you for sharing your fantastic sense of humor, your brilliant mind, your gentleness, and your laugh was simply the best! I will always cherish the times I have spent with you.

Wonderfully creative,John made his bright ideas work amazingly well
and was always most helpful to all around him. An inspiration to us all, we miss him greatly and his unique way with words. As he said on more than one occasion "the end of an era"" only he meant "the end of an error", such was John's special humour. When we visited him on 16th March we texted "on the way to see you so don't run away." John replied, "thanks, you both are inspiring, if I start running now I should be at end of ward by your arrival".We left him doing the cryptic crossword in the Herald.. We will always remember John, from Shirley and Graeme Jones and family..

DRAKE, John Lyon. John passed away on 17th March 2017. Much loved brother in law to Peter and Joy Burn, Uncle to Gareth and Sandy, Georgia and Richard and Great Uncle to Sossi, Adam and Harry, valued friend to Shirley Stewart .
