John Driscoll

John Driscoll 1938 - 2022 Holyoke John Driscoll, 84, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2022 at home in Holyoke. He will reunite with Janie Driscoll his wife and love of his life, who passed away in 2004. John was born in South Hadley to Maurice and Nora Driscoll. They moved to Holyoke and he resided in Holyoke for the rest of his life. He had a fantastic memory and could tell you the date of any significant event and very likely the weather report on that day. John was an avid walker and he walked everywhere, regardless of the weather. John worked at A. G. Spaulding Company where he met his wife Jane. He later worked for many years at Hazen Paper in Holyoke. He was a communicant of St. Jerome's Church in Holyoke. John enjoyed polka music as well as country music and attended different festivals and concerts in the area. John is survived by his brother in law Patrick McKay and sisters in law Elizabeth (Betty) McKay and Judith McKay and 9 nieces and nephews. Calling hours are at Barry Farrell Funeral Home on January 11, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A prayer service will be held at 11:00am followed by burial in Saint Jerome Cemetery. John made a cat lover out of his wife Jane, therefore in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any animal charity.
