I was fortunate to have John Drolla as a mentor and friend for many years. John was generous with his time and knowledge as well as passionate about the causes he championed. John was a true credit to our profession and he will be missed.

I knew John during the years when I served as legal secretary to my brother Joe Turner. He was always a gentleman - kind, considerate and generous. He will remain in my prayers. Sheila Turner

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of John Drolla. John and I served many years as volunteer track and field officials for UT Austin. He was a real joy to work with. May our gracious God comfort his family in his loss.

John enjoyed life and the love for UT. He invited me to a100 club event and was so nice and charming. I sometimes thought what was he up to since that was so long ago. Sorry for the families lost - your Dad was a kind man. John will be Hooking those Horns in Heaven! Thoughts and prayers for you all.

Happy Memorial Day John, as a friend I knew how successful you were but I did not know what a Patriot you were. Thank You for your service and friendship. I will remember you forever. God Speed

God's speed Colonel Drolla. All those lectures you gave to lawyers were appreciated, and the whole Continuing Education Staff at the State Bar of Texas mourns your passing and gives you well-deserved tribute for your efforts.

Dear Jennifer and Family-

Sincere condolences on John's passing. He is now safely in the arms of the Lord God Almighty.

John and I shared many times and memories of The University of Texas. We were students together and
later found our roles in the historic Texas Relays with John as Head Starter and me as Head Announcer.
I am proud to say that we enjoyed 40 years together in that great Event and also were Honored together in
2012 as Honorary Referees of the Texas Relays.

You should be very proud of your Father. He reached great heights in his legal career and also his athletic career. But he also was a good and loyal friend. I am proud to have called John my friend!
