John Duffy Obituary
75, of Woonasquatucket Avenue, Providence, passed away March 7, 2017. He was the husband of Marguerite (Marrapese) Duffy.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mildred (Parkhurst) Duffy.
John was a flooring installer for Fain's Fine Carpeting and Paul's Floor Covering for many years before retiring. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was the father of John P. Duffy, Jr. and Marguerite "Margie" Duffy; grandfather of Brianna, Casey, Danielle, Jillian and Gianna and brother in law of Frank "Bobo" Marrapese.
His funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
