DUSKA JOHN C.
69, of Latrobe, died early Friday morning, April 16, 2010, in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital.He was born October 28, 1940 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John C.and Jean Lipinski Duska.Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a draftsman for U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh for over 20 years. John was raised in the Catholic faith. He was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed walking and hiking. He was a history buff and enjoyed studying and collecting maps of historical areas. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Vietnam War.In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Louise Lamberti Duska in 1995. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Gary) Militzer of Sanatoga, two sons, John M. (Valarie) Duska of South Fayette, and James S. (Kristin) Duska of Ligonier, two grandsons, Nicholas Dabrowski and Ryan Duska, and a sister, Doreen (Donald) Sullivan of North Braddock.John's family and friends will be gathering together Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the J. PAUL McCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, INC., 144 East Main Street, Ligonier where his life will be celebrated with a Blessing Service celebrated by Msgr. William G. Charnoki P.A. of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ligonier, Monday at 10:00AM. The Duska family,

I worked with John in the engineering department at U.S. Steel many years ago. Seeing his notice brought back a lot of good memories. He was a great guy and a top co-worker. You have my sympathy and I will keep you in my prayers.
