John Gaylord Eidem

Eidem John (Gay) Gaylord Eidem, formerly of Lake Minnetonka, died Friday morning, February 28th, in his West Sacramento home. He was 72 years old. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th, at 4 pm, at Pilgrim Methodist Church in Plymouth, MN, with Reverend Phil Schmidt officiating. Gay Eidem graduated from Mound High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Bell Telephone and serviced the Lake Minnetonka area until his retirement. Gay moved to West Sacramento, CA in 1985. Gay Eidem will be remembered as one of the funniest people that ever lived. He enjoyed making people laugh, and was loved by everyone who knew him. We will miss him dearly. He is survived by his four children, Steve (Cathy) of Magalia, CA, Mike (Mary) of Battle Lake, MN, Greg (Heather) of St. Louis Park, MN, and Annie (Norm) Elliott of Port Hueneme, CA; 6 grandchildren; brother, Tom; sisters, Linda Manganiello and Nancy (Marv) Blair. He was formerly married to Doris Ann Eidem. Preceded in death by parents, John and Virginia Eidem of North Arm.
