With overwhelming sadness we announce the passing of John Falck on November 5. At age 74, and with family ever at his side, John had fought an intense battle against complications from kidney disease. John was born in London, England immigrating to Canada with his parents at an early age, and lived in Toronto until, married and with a young family, he moved to Calgary in 1975. Always a gentleman, John was polite and patient to a fault, and unswervingly loyal to people and principles. He loved riding his horse, especially in autumn; most things British, particularly ale, Monty Python, and Manchester United; pub night every Friday; and Stampede and Grey Cup, on whose committees he was a long-time member. In his working life, John was with Lennox Industries, Philips Electronics, and briefly London Life Insurance before retirement and riding the trails. John leaves behind his much- loved family: his wife of fifty years, Anita; his daughters, Melinda Lawryk (Kevin) and Janine (Mike Daniluk); granddaughters, Rachel and Allison Lawryk; and numerous relatives in England.

A Gathering will be held to remember John at the Rotary House in Stampede Park today, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
