Our hearts will always be filled with the wonderful memories of John visiting us in Winnipeg and our return visits to Calgary. John & Rod shared their love of England and plenty of pints of ale since we first met in 1979/80.

Anita and family, I am so saddened to hear of your loss. John was a role model to all of us who worked with him on caravan committee and grey cup trips. He will be greatly missed. I will be unable to attend the memorial service as I am out of the country but my heart and thoughts will be with you.

My thoughts go out to the family and I regret that I had not seen John since leaving Calgary 30 years ago. I worked with John at Philips at the Calgary branch and always remembered him to be a real gentleman with a dry sense of humour.
Till we meet again cowboy.

I will miss sending him a birthday card as it was also Groundhog day and I would tell him I couldn't forget his birthday because of that. I will also miss chatting to him on the phone whenever I would call and Anita wasn't there. He was a wonderful husband to my sister and a great father and grandfather as well.

I feel privileged to have known John for over 30 years. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched and enriched. I will miss his hugs and smiling face on those early morning breakfasts and the stories told over a cold beer. Happy trails, John.

I always looked forward to your annual Christmas call, and occasionally I beat you, I will really miss that. Can't believe we met over 30 years ago working together at Philips. I will forever remember your Monty Python stories! Our condolences to Anita, Melinda & Janine.
