John Clarke Fariel

John Clarke Fariel was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and reunited with the love of his life, Rosina Fariel on Friday, January 17, 2025.

Clarke was born July 27, 1937 in Yonkers, NY. He is survived by his daughters, Terri Wright (Tom) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Amy Cook (Ray) of Uncasville CT; sons, Raymond "Buddy" Weaver (Cookie), Michael Weaver (Mine') both of Chesapeake VA, and Clarke Patrick Fariel of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Don (Carol) of Largo, FL, and Joe (Patti) of Sneads Ferry, NC. Clarke had several brothers and sisters in laws and was the proud grandfather and great grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had many nieces and nephews.

Clarke had a heart as big as all outdoors.

When he married Rosina, she was a single mother of three with several foster children.

Not many men would take on that responsibility, but Clarke did so with love and devotion. Together, they continued fostering children and later welcomed two more of their own.

Clarke served in the United Sates Air Force and was a faithful member of Hampton Roads Church. Clarke remained active and involved even when walking became difficult and he could no longer drive. His dedication never wavered.

Clarke was a hardworking man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Whether it was family, friends, or a stranger in need, he was always willing to give of himself.

Heaven shines a little brighter now, as more pieces of our hearts rest there.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the home of Buddy and Cookie Weaver, 2716 Lake Drummond Cswy, Chesapeake, VA, 23322 on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00.
