John Faulkes Obituary
FAULKES John William With great sadness we announce the sudden loss of our dear John, loving husband, Father, Grandfather and friend. John died of a heart attack in the early afternoon of May 31, 2008 at age 64. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Anne, his daughter Mary (Iain), and sons Paul (Maggie), Peter (Katie), Michael (Karly) and Benjamin (Hannah Montana), Mother-in-law, Mavis Stewart, his adored grandchildren, Maizie, Aidan, Ellie (Mary) and Zelda (Peter). John will be forever remembered for his strong faith, unique creativity, amazing sense of humor and love for his family. Please join us in celebrating John's life on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Walnut Grove Lutheran Church, 20530 - 88th Avenue, Langley at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be established for Benjamin William Faulkes. Please direct donation inquiries to [email protected]

Sorry to hear of your loss! I have met John a few times, I play Special Olympiocs sports with Ben! I really enjoy the pictues, that he took. I have some of the last pictures, that he took, and I am treasuring them forever.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your dear husband, father and grandfather. We heard of this through Lisa Falconer. We have memories of John from years back in his youth.

John, I'll miss you big time, for the memories of Pauline Johnson and jumping in the leaves at the house on Haywood and 25th, classes at Inglewood and West Van, all the afternoon basketball games at your house with Jake and Tom and others, my book of trig functions and logs adorned with your cartoons, UBC days and the oversized happy face on the fireplace at the Fiji house with the two yellow traffic warning lights as eyes. Recently through your efforts, you've brought together those of us that shared a special time together in high school. You did this with a humanity and an inclusiveness and a joy that made us all feel part of a whole. God bless.
