One of the greatest coaches and persons I have ever met. My heartfelt sympathy's go out to all his family and friends. Was my coach 79-82. I have two great regrets in my life. One is not listening to his advise enough. Rest in peace coach.

I was so saddened to see that John had passed. I enjoyed working with him on many district projects, and we shared a love of running and the Donner Summit area. I wish his family strength and love at this difficult time.

I appreciate many talks coach Fletcher and I had in his office about life in general I was not a great player in high school as I wanted to be but I did become a pretty good one in UCD intramurals in my latter years. He always incouraged me in HS. That Mckatchy game I was suppose to start but got very ill because of a hospital mistake and you called me to check on me and apolized when you did not have to I will never forget you You allow me to get a letter because of that situation, I did not feel I deserved it be he talked me into it. I beacame a baseball coach for 35 years because of him and looks like 36 next year. From ages8-20 .Thanks coach ,rest in peace thanks for your time. And coaching.

I played for Coach Fletcher my Sophomore (73) and Senior (75) year at Christian Brothers. He taught me to play ball and live life honestly -- with intensity and a sense of fairness. His influence and lessons have served me well in my life. He will not be forgotten.

To Family and friends of John Fletcher,

I am very sorry for your loss. My heartfelt sympathy go out to you during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Davidson
