John Flocke Obituary
In 1984 John married his best friend and love of his life, Michelle Collins. They have been married for 34 years. Family was John's passion and he was most happy when he had a gathering of family and friends at his house. John was a lover of all animals and especially dogs.
John is a past board member of The Texas Turf and Irrigation Association. He was also involved in Beaumont Youth Soccer, and Trinity MYF.
John was preceded in death by his father, Otto Flocke, and mother, Luise Flocke. John is survived by his wife, Michelle, daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Steve Bellew of Katy, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Caitlin and Tommy Knight of Beaumont, TX, grandchildren, Jack and Emily Bellew , and Grayson Knight. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Diane Flocke of Nederland, TX and brother, Tim Flocke, of Beaumont, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, January 3rd at Forest Lawn Funeral Home/Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, TX 77703. Services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, January 4th at 10:00 am. A lunch gathering after the burial will be held at Broussard's Centre, 1775 Calder St. , Beaumont, TX 77701.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southeast Texas Humane Society.

I'm so sorry to hear of John's recent passing. I knew the Flocke brothers when we were at Beaumont High School,1965-69. I once attended a fun FFA dance with his younger brother,and others.
The brothers were all,fine young men.

It has been the greatest honor to have you and your family a part of my life. I can't even find the words to express how much you are missed. Your kind soul, words of wisdom, and thoughtfulness has set the example of the kind of person I strive to become. You have been such an inspiration to me. Your love for your family and life was something I always admired about you. You showed me the true value and meaning of life, through your hard work, dedication, motivation, and faith. It saddens me to hear about the passing away of John. from this life to a better one for it is written in the Bible that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and Jesus said that He goes before us and will prepare a place for us, this is what we have to believe, John was put on this Earth for a purpose, to be you spouse was it, now his job is done John ran that race and will be at the gate waiting for you , praying for you and your family..

I am sorry to read of Mr. Flocke's passing. He installed a lawn sprinkler system for my parents some years ago, and they always spoke highly of him. Mr. Flocke wrote us thoughtful condolences when my mother died in 2006. Please accept my sympathy in your great loss.

I had the fortune or misfortune to be pared against John in football practice at Austin Junior High and Beaumont High. He was truly a gentle giant. I am in Alabama and wont be able to attend John's service, but prayers for your family.
