Mr. Franklin's role as an exemplary model of the community he lived in and served, travels across many miles and years. He will forever be remembered for his strength and integrity. His business, education and civic involvement across Chattanooga touched many families and individual lives. And, as a former student of Alton Park Junior High School while Mr. Franklin was Principal, I know. To his family and other friends, I wish him Peace like a River.
