John FREDERICKS Obituary
March 1, 1923 - February 27, 2012
Grant passed away at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans where he had made his home for the past year.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his family: wife, Bea; daughter, Inez (Marvin) Dewart; son, Mark (Karen); grandchildren, Krista Dewart (Dr. Greg Hrynchyshyn), Kent (Brandy) Dewart, Grant and Laura Fredericks and great-grandchildren, Luke and Jacqueline Dewart. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Rita Fredericks, several nieces and nephews and his Friday coffee buddies, special nephew Roy and good friend Elwood.
Cremation has taken place and Grant's ashes will be buried at a later date beside his son, Ivan at the Bruce Cemetery. A Celebration of Grant's life will be held at Sherwood Park United Church, 20 Fir Street, Sherwood Park on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank the Kipnes Centre for the love and respect shown to Grant during his time there.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Kipnes Centre, the Bruce Stampede Association 100-year Memorial Project or to a charity of your choice.

Take comfort in knowing that you have a special guardian angel to watch over you....Grant was a special man and I enjoyed my time with him at the Capital Care Strathcona Adult Day Program.

Dear Bea & family
We were saddened to read of Grant's passing. Even though half of my family didn't know him as well as I did, they sure thought highly of him...perhaps it was his ready smile and gentle mannerisms that caught their attention.

Passing of our dear Grant leaves a heartache no one can heal. Our love for him leaves a memory no one can steal.
He was a very special man in our lives for many years. May he rest in peace and may you as a family live with his wonderful memories. We will be praying with you on Saturday.
