John was a dear friend, tennis buddy, mentor, creator of endless math puzzles, and grandfather to my children. He was part of our family for many years - his love of teaching, uno, hearts, chess, cribbage, backgammon and math was passed on to my kids. He taught them so many things from how to shuffle cards, analyze the chess board, how to figure out his math problems as well as showing them how to respect and treat others. We won't forget his crazy outfits, his wonderful laugh, and how he would break out into song (in French of course) while we were sharing a meal. His tennis slice was notorious at the Azalea tennis center and he laughed every single time I missed it. He was a large part of our lives and will be missed. He taught us all how to live life to the fullest. I am sorry that we couldn't make it to the service but strange as it may sound, I "saw" him in a dream 2 days ago - he looked fabulous - still dressed in a mismatched outfit with sandals - and he assured me he was happy and doing well. My thanks to your family for sharing him with us for so long (we met almost 20 years ago) - I feel like I know most of you though we never met. My condolences for your loss. Kim, Stephen, Sara and Adam Sawicki.

I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in what is recorded in the Bible at Jeremiah 29:11 and 12.

Dad I love you and miss you.so much. We had so many good times; Uno games and Chipolte for lunch. We joked and laughed, even in your final days you made me happy with your quick wit and loving smile. Thank you for being a good Dad and good person. I will always think of you and mom and wait for the day I can see you both again.
