John Walter Galotti

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Walter Galotti on January 26th, 2023, while surrounded by his loved ones. Born on December 4, 1940, John was a devoted husband to Nanette and a proud father to John Galotti Jr., Dianne Cazeca, Paul Galotti, and David Galotti. He was also loved by his stepdaughters Tara D'Angelo, Lora O'Keefe, and Nanette Iula.

John was the brother of the late Robert Galotti and the late Joan Lindsey, and is survived by sisters Mary Lou Smith, Anne Gorman, and Susan Winningham. John was a family-oriented man who cherished spending time with his loved ones, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

John was known for his warm and friendly personality, easily making friends and striking up conversations with anyone he met. He found his calling as a salesman, developing decades-long friendships with many of his customers. Many never knew that John served in the Navy, as he was not in the habit of talking about himself.

He lived a selfless life, always putting others first, and had a unique ability to make those around him feel special. He was an avid gardener and loved traveling with his wife in their RV.

John's greatest wish was for those around him to have good fortune and happiness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and the love he shared for others.

A celebration of John's life was held at The American Legion in Plymouth (199 Federal Furnace Road Plymouth) on February 7th at 4:00PM. May John rest in peace and be forever remembered for the wonderful memories he created.
