After I met Mr Gargan, I knew where Dan had heard some of the best "sayings." More importantly I learned why Dan was was such a good guy. Mr Gargan was a good loving father to his kids and grandchildren. I am sorry we cannot be there today but our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Gargan clan.

I am so sorry for your loss. I received a message from Mrs Donnelly thru my sister Pat yesterday. I just saw the arrangements online and wish I knew earlier. Your father/grandfather was a really great man and I am sure you will miss him terribly. God Bless you all in your time of grief

John was one my first bosses when I made detective in the third squad. I learned alot from him. But most of all I could call him my friend. Rest In Peace Brother.

Mr. Gargan or Mr. G as I called him whenever I saw him around town. A good solid and stand up guy all around. My family and I consider ourselves lucky to have been friends with him. Rest in peace Mr. G. The Accardi family

Sgt John Gargan
He was Tough, but Fair- even had a soft side, when you got to know him.
He from the "old school"- one of his favorite sayings was ..." that place (a bar) was a bucket of blood"...
Rest in Peace, Sgt John
