John GOMMES

My deepest condolences to the family. John was a wonderful human being and had a wealth of knowledge on varied subjects. I was fortunate to have met him and worked with him. I also met his son (Thomas) during his visit to India.Dharti Desai, Mumbai & New York.

I have been hearing about John Gommes from my husband Ed Gottesman for many months, as he would describe to me at the end of a day a conversation or lunch he had with John. Ed's admiration for John and appreciation of his intellect and character has been inspiring to me, and I send my thoughts to his family in remembrance of a man who was clearly very special.

A vibrant and inquring mind is lost to the world at much too early an age. Whenever I spent a few hours with John, I came away with renewed faith in my fellow man and a strengthened admiration for this man of many parts. May God keep his soul among the blessed.

John Gommes was a great man and he will remain in our hearts and prayers for ever.
